Freedom Quest is looking for volunteers to join the Board of Directors.
Freedom Quest's Board of Directors is collectively accountable to clients and their families, the community, and funders. They are responsible for the Society’s performance in realizing its mission, vision, values, and strategic direction. They provide oversight to ensure the agency’s effective stewardship of financial and human resources, and for the overall quality of supports delivered to clients.
Directors are responsible for acting in the best long-term interests of the organization and the community and bring to their deliberations a broad knowledge, a long-range view and an openness to learning. Board meetings occur monthly and the FQ Annual General Meeting takes place in November each year.
We are currently accepting applications for new Directors. While we welcome applications from all community members, we are particularly focused on decolonizing and diversifying our board. We also encourage youth applicants with lived or living experience, including those who have previously used FQ services.
The Freedom Quest Board of Directors welcomes applications from prospective members with expertise in financial literacy, IT, marketing, and media relations, as well as a strong commitment to and experience in decolonization.
