Position Summary
The Accreditation Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating key aspects of ongoing CARF accreditation for the agency, ensuring compliance with CARF standards.

Key Responsibilities
Policy Administration
Manage the agency’s Governance Policy Tracker document and initiate policy review processes
Compile policy change recommendations and provide drafts for review
Finalize updated policy documents for Board approval
Manage the agency’s Employee Policy Tracker document
Recruitment & Human Resources Administration
Post vacant positions on various recruitment platforms
Review and sort prospective employee applications
Forward qualifying applicant information to appropriate supervisor(s)
Manage the agency’s Human Resources Documentation Tracker document
Ensure information contained in the Human Resources Documentation Tracker is accurate and current
Alert employees and supervisors to upcoming documentation expiration dates and other due dates
Support employees and supervisors in acquiring updated documentation
Gather and file updated documentation
Education & Training Management
Manage the agency’s Education & Training Tracker document.
Ensure information contained in the Education & Training Tracker document is accurate and current
Alert supervisors to non-compliance with agency policies, funder requirements, and CARF Accreditation standards
Support supervisors in achieving compliance for themselves and their teams
Health & Safety Administration
Manage the agency’s Health & Safety Tracker document
Manage the agency’s Vehicle Safety Tracker document
Ensure monthly, semi-annual, and annual health and safety inspections are completed and comply with CARF Accreditation standards
Review inspection reports and ensure recommendations are delivered to appropriate supervisor(s) for action
Lead the agency’s Joint Occupational Health & Safety (JOSH) Committee
Plan Administration
Ensure the following plans are reviewed annually:
Risk Management Plan
Performance Measurement Plan
Accessibility Plan
Succession Plan
Cultural Competency and Diversity Plan
Compile change recommendations and provide drafts of updated plans for review
Finalize updated plan documents for Executive Director and/or Board approval
Governance Administration
Attend the agency’s monthly Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings, and Special Meetings
Take meeting minutes in compliance with agency and CARF accreditation standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education & Experience
Certificate or Degree in Social Science, Health, Humanities, or Business Administration; or other relevant discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. (ASSET)
Three years of experience providing direct administrative support (ASSET)
Experience working in a CARF-accredited workplace (ASSET)
Experience working within the Social Services (ASSET)
Experience working within a non-profit (ASSET)
Experience working for an agency that relies heavily on technology (ASSET)
Willingness to engage in life-long learning and self-reflexivity practices to understand Indigenous worldviews and the important role of culture in providing social service programming. (REQUIRED)
Recognition that colonization continues to impact the health and wellness of Indigenous Peoples. This includes recognizing the role of trauma. (REQUIRED)
